KNOLL FLAGSHIP STORE

New York, NY
2004

Knoll

When Knoll moved its headquarters to a former Port Authority building in Manhattan, large bays of unobstructed space articulated by massive mushroom columns were minimally articulated with simple architectural lines and vast view corridors to delineate both showroom and office space.

The new offices showcase AutoStrada, an approach to workplace planning Knoll introduced in June that comprises four planning models united by a common architectural aesthetic. AutoStrada combines furniture and interior architecture for both open plan and private office spaces. The new space also provides showroom space for Knoll products, from celebrated mid-20th-century classics to award-winning designs, including office systems, seating, wood casegoods, files and storage, tables and desks, and textiles.
